When: upper Member (Bailuyuan Formation), Late/Upper Eocene to Late/Upper Eocene (37.2 - 28.4 Ma)
• There are three members in the Bailuyuan Formation, the upper, middle and lower. Fossils have been found in the upper and lower members, which are some 200m apart. The fauna in the upper member is found in large sandstone concretions predominantly in mudstones interbedded with white coarse-grained sandstones.
