When: Lengshuigou Formation, Serravallian (13.8 - 11.6 Ma)

• Originally dated to Middle Miocene (Chow, 1978, Chiu et al. 1979), now MN7, Astaracian, Tunggurian.

•The Formation comprises grey-yellow and dark yellow muddy sandstones and terracotta red or grey-green mottled, red-brown sandy mudstones. Largest exposures are approximately 80m.

Collection methods: In 1964 a piece of sandstone was collected. The faunal list in Chiu et al. (1979) is a conflation of 4 localities in the Lengshuigou Formation. Each locality has been entered separately here.
