When: Temblor Formation, Middle Miocene (16.0 - 11.6 Ma)
• Sandstone bed with a conglomerate layer at its base. The basal portion of this bed (approx. 8 inches) is richly fossiliferous. Some sandy concretions immediately above this bed also contain a few fossils. From faunizone B (zone 4) (for that reason assigned an middle Miocene age).
