Where: Sonora, Mexico (31.1° N, 109.6° W: paleocoordinates 38.8° N, 82.8° W)

When: Corral de Enmedio Formation (Cabullona Group), Late/Upper Campanian (83.5 - 70.6 Ma)

• upper part of formation, described as "comparable in age to the Edmonton formation", originally "Snake Ridge Formation." Later assigned to "Packard" beds by Lucas & González-Léon.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lacustrine - small; lithified, green, sandy, carbonaceous shale

• "a low, well-watered coastal plain" with shallow lacustrine environments
• "greenish, sandy shales...greatly baked, carbonaceous shales between two rhyolite sills"
