When: Luohandong Formation, Valanginian to Valanginian (139.8 - 130.0 Ma)

• mapped as Lower Cretaceous Luohandong Fm. (Zhidan Gp) but authors say sediments more closely resemble the Ejinhoro Fm. Sites in top 2-3 m of strata on butte

•Luohandong Formation is Valanginian—early Hauterivian age based on Li et al. (2019)

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: fluvial; red sandstone and gray, green siliciclastic

• "rusty-red strata" within a "grayish green clastic facies"
