When: 2 Member (Panjshah Formation), Wordian (266.9 - 264.3 Ma)
• Assigned to the early Midian on the basis of fusulinids Minojapanella and Lantschichites (although questionably identified). The overlying Kundil Formation contains Kubergandian (Roadian) fusulinids such as Cancellina and Praesumatrina (Flugel & Gaetani, 1991), although these are considered to be reworked by Gaetani et al. (1995). The Kundil Fm also contains conodonts assigned a Murgabian age by Gaetani et al. (1995), although the smooth-platform Mesogondolella species are challenging to use for biostratigraphy. An early Midian (late Wordian) age is retained here.
