• Rests upon Miocene strata with a marked unconformity. Thickness of zone is approximately 15 ft, total thickness of section is over 265 ft. Collection is from Zone C.

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: offshore; poorly lithified, concretionary, blue sandstone

• The lower part of this zone comprises mainly deeper water [offshore?] forms.
• Bluish sands, somewhat lignitic in the upper part, nodular in the lower.
