Environment/lithology: fluvial-lacustrine; gray, calcareous marl and limestone

• The locality is in the so called "Ulmer Schichten" ("Ulm beds"), wich represent the Lower Freshwater Molasse in the Ulm area, the latter being part of the northern margin of the alpine molasse basin. The "Ulm beds" are also referred to as "subjurassic molasse" due to its position immediately south of the Swabian Jura (Schwäbische Alb) (Werner, 1994).

Collected in 19th century; reposited in the BSP, NMB, SMNS

• The quarry provided fossils described in the 19th century by famous early paleontologists such as H. von Meyer and M. Schlosser. The locality is not accessible anymore (Werner, 1994).
