Environment/lithology: marine; lithified limestone

• The beds were deposited close inshore at shallow depths to close off the shelf sequence.
• Sediment is coarse, comprising of rubbly conglomerate of greywacke and some volcanic fragments, in a skeletal calcilutite matrix with Bryozoa and crinoid fragments, as well as finer grit, sandstone, and mudstone, commonly with broken bryozoan fragments.
