Environment/lithology: transition zone or lower shoreface; poorly lithified, lag, argillaceous siltstone and poorly lithified sandstone

• the juncal formation in northern lockwood valley is 605 m thick and consists predominantly of muddy siltstone with minor amounts of sandstone and scattered lenses with fossils. lenses are fine to coarse sandstones representing storm lag deposits.
