Environment/lithology: terrestrial; bioturbated, argillaceous sandstone and siltstone

• "The bone bed comprises thin lenticles of buff sand...the lenticles cut across the current-bedding of the surrounding siltstone and shales...the buff sand constituting bone-bed is non-pebbly, rather argillaceous and poorly sorted and alwas contains bivalve casts"
