Unit 2 is a 5 ft thick calcarenite, overlies the basal unit of the Bear Bluff Fm (1 ft to the base of the section (lake shore), and is overlain by Unit 3, 1 ft of Bear Bluff Fm, and then 10.5 ft of predominantly sandstones of the Pleistocene Waccamaw Fm. Basinal/regional section name: Columbus
