• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: The upper and lower contacts of the formation are not exposed. BIOSTRATIGRAPHY: from Collins et al. (1999), planktic foraminifera suggest 1.8 Ma near the top and 3.5 Ma at the base. PPP dataset indicates an age range between 3.6 and 3.5 Ma, nannofossil zone NN15.
