• Bse formation is an informal formation of the Bird Spring Group at Arrow Canyon, defined by Langeheim and Langenheim (1963). This unit is placed in the Zone of Schwagerina cf. S.crebrisepta by Stevens et al. (1979), which dates this unit as the middle part of the Wolfcampian. Also, this unit is part of the widespread, informally recognized Early Permian "coral bed" of the eastern Great Basin.
