• This unit is 200 feet thick. The bed label is given as feet from the base of the section to the base of the unit containing this collection. PJW: Given Macrostrat, this is now the Besa River formation.

Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; lithified, gray, argillaceous limestone and lithified, calcareous shale

• "Limestone, argillaceous, medium gray, interbedded with calcareous shales. Beds of limestone and shale of almost equal thickness, non more than 5 feet, and commonly 1-2 feet thick, upper three feet silty."
