• AGE: Early Late Aptian based on Parahoplites nutfieldensis. Previous estimates from minimum age of the Pabellon Formation are Late arremian to Aptian based on corals and bivalves (Tavera, 1956) and late Barremian based on presence of Agria blumenbachi (Corvalan, 1974). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From uppermost part of the Parabellon Fm.

• ENVIRONMENT: Shallow-water. SEQUENCE STRATIGRAPHY: Represents a regressive stage at the end of the Early Cretaceous marine sedimentary cycle in the Andean Basin of Chile and Argentina.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: No lithology reported in text. LITHIFICATION: Assumed to be lithified based on figured specimens, which are sometimes free of matrix.
