• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Mzinene Fm, which regionally overlies the Aptian-Albian Makatini Fm. THICKNESS: 20 cm thick bed within ~20 m section thickness. AGE: Albian IV based on ammonite biostratigraphy (occurrence of Oxytropidoceras); Middle Albian in Kennedy & Klinger, 2012. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: At very base of section.
