Where: Hungary (46.2° N, 18.5° E: paleocoordinates 28.4° N, 24.8° E)
• coordinate stated in text
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Thurmanniceras pertransiens ammonoid zone, Apátvarasd Limestone Formation, Late/Upper Valanginian to Late/Upper Valanginian (140.2 - 130.0 Ma)
• Basal, red ferruginous limestone bed of the Apátvarasd Limestone Formation. Initially Early Valanginian, but Bujtor et al. (2013) defined the age of the sequence. Based on dinoflagellates and belemnites, the age of the fossiliferous layers is upper Valanginian-lower Hauterivian.
