• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Man Aike Fm, which regionall unconformably overlies the Late Cretaeous Calafate Formation. THICKNESS: from several beds within 40-45 m thick section. AGE: Stated to be Middle Eocene according to Malumián (1990) and Concheyro (1991) on the basis of foraminifera and nanofossils, respectively. Correlatable to upper part of the Rio Turbio. Placed in Middle Eocene pending revised age. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From beds in upper part of section.
