Environment/lithology: prodelta; lithified, lenticular, fine-grained, gray sandstone and gray, green shale

• At Niagara Gorge the Power Glen attains a

•thickness of 11 m and consists of soft, fissile,

•greenish-gray shales with minor sandstones

•and an upper arenaceous dolostone member. A

•sequence of interbedded shales, siltstones, and

•lenticular, fine-grained, light gray sandstones,

•the Rumsey Ridge Member of Fisher (1954)

•occurs 2.5 to 4.0 m above the base of the

•Power Glen at this locality. The sandstones

•exhibit features suggestive of current deposition

•such as crossbedding and cut-and-fill

•structures.
