Where: Pakistan (32.4° N, 70.5° E: paleocoordinates 1.5° N, 63.7° E)
• coordinate stated in text
• local area-level geographic resolution
When: Lockhart Limestone Formation, Late/Upper Paleocene (58.7 - 55.8 Ma)
• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Lockhart Limestone, which conformably overlies the Hangu Shale (Early Paleocene) and is conformably overlain by the Patala Formation (Paleocene). THICKNESS: 70 m at type section, ranging from 6 to 70 m throughout range. AGE: Paleocene in text. Assigned by enterer to a Late Paleocene age on the basis of stratigraphic position, in overlying the Hangu Shale (Early Paleocene). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Collection is presumably a composite from the entire formation.
• formation-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; gray, blue limestone
Size class: macrofossils
Collection methods: COLLECTORS: Not stated, but probably Davies or Pinfold (1930's). REPOSITORY: Not stated, but possibly BMNH or Geological Survey of India.
