• from the lower part of the "30-m-thick" red clay interval of the formation; the upper part is said to be "MN15 of the Ruscinian Age" and the entire section is "6.16 to 4.34 Ma" based on paleomagnetic stratigraphy, which spans MN 13 through MN 14
