• The deposit shows site sorting and abrasion.

Environment/lithology: submarine fan; lithified phosphorite

• bedded phosphorite.

Collection methods: The specimens show post-mortem phosphatization of soft material and phosphatized plates. Material collected in 1986 as part of a collaboration between the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources, Canberra, and the University of Bonn, Germany. Walossek is responsible for interpretation/description and was involved in the collecting process.

Taxonomic list

• The collection does not include palaescolecidan worms and minute problematica which are present in the bed, but were not collected. The arthropod pieces are not identifyable due to fragmentation, however the larva and egg capsules are interpretted to have an arthropod origin.
