• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Goodland Point Mbr of the Mistaken Point Fm, St John's Gp, which overlies the Shepherd Point Mbr (Ediacaran; Mistaken Point Fm) and is overlain by the Murphy's Cover Mbr (Ediacaran; Mistaken Point Fm). THICKNESS: From individual bed within c. 45 m thick regional section of the formation. AGE: Ediacaran on the basis of trace and form fossil biostratigraphy. From unit above horizon dated as 565.3 my by Dunning in Benus (1988). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From uppermost part of member, above Loc. 3.

Environment/lithology: basinal (); lithified, silty, cherty/siliceous sandstone and lithified tuff

• ENVIRONMENT: Gravitational flow on sloping paleosurface; submarine slope or basin. Preserving Bouma sequences.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Medium-thick bedded siliceous turbidites with tuffaceous interbeds. LITHIFICATION: Lithified on the basis of figured sections and specimens.
