• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Kincaid Fm, Midway Group. AGE: Danian, according to Hansen (1978); Paleocene, according to Miller (1947). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Top of Kincaid Formation (below the base of the Tehuacana Limestone shell bed).

Environment/lithology: offshore; poorly lithified, silty claystone

• ENVIRONMENT: Interval just below the Tehuacana member in Milam County (~200 km SW) is interpreted to be middle neritic (50-100 m) by D'Agostino & Yancey (1996).
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Unconsolidated clay and clayey silt. LITHIFICATION: Poorly lithified, on the basis of figured specimens and facies description.
