Where: Morocco (30.9° N, 9.8° W: paleocoordinates 24.9° N, 4.0° W)

• coordinate stated in text

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Taboulouart Formation, Barremian (129.4 - 125.0 Ma)

• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Taboulouart Fm, which unconformably overlies the Talmest Fm (Early Cretaceous), and is in turn overlain by the Bouzergoun Fm (Early Cretaceous). AGE: Early Barremian, on the basis of ammonite biostratigraphy; Coronites darsi biozone. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From bed 50, 37-38 m above base, near middle of section.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lithified limestone and lithified, shelly/skeletal marl

• ENVIRONMENT: No detailed environmental reported in text.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Alternating bioclastic marly limestone (dominant) and marls. LITHIFICATION: Lithified, on the basis of figured specimens.
