• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Cerro La Puerta Shale Mbr of the Mural Fm, which gradationally overlies the Los Coyotes, and is overlain by the Cerro La Espina Mbr AGE: Aptian, on the basis of ammonite, bivalve, and foram biostratigraphy, and U/Pb zircon radiometric ages. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: List representative of entire member at this section.

Environment/lithology: offshore; lithified, brown, gray, yellow shale and lithified wackestone

• ENVIRONMENT: Shallow marine siliciclastic, accumulated during maximum flooding phase.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Various lithologies, including light-gray shale that weathers dark to yellowish brown with subordinate thin to medium beds of wackestone. LITHIFICATION: Lithified on the basis of figured specimens.
