Hallembaye [Vijlen Chalk, Gulpen Fm] (Cretaceous of Belgium)

Where: Belgium (50.8° N, 5.7° E: paleocoordinates 43.3° N, 4.6° E)

• coordinate based on nearby landmark

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Vijlen Member (Maastricht Formation), Early/Lower Maastrichtian (70.6 - 66.0 Ma)

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lithified, phosphatic lime mudstone

• ENVIRONMENT: Shallow marine carbonate setting.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: No specific lithological data reported in text. Probably chalk. LITHIFICATION: Lithified on the basis of figured specimens.
