When: 2 Member (Jiufotang Formation), Aptian (125.0 - 113.0 Ma)

• from "about 50 cm above" the mudstone yielding "nearly all" the other specimens from this locality

•said to be "Early Cretaceous": Aptian assignment based on age of main Beishan Quarry level. Xidagou Bed = 2nd Member of Fm.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lacustrine; poorly lithified shale
