• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Gislöv Fm, which unconformably overlies the Rispebjerg Sandstone, and is overlain by the Alum Shale. AGE: Late Atdabanian, on the basis of trilobite biostratigraphy; Holmia kjerulfi trilobite zone. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From bed B in local stratigraphic section.

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, phosphatic, pyritic, quartzose, gray, calcareous sandstone

• ENVIRONMENT: Marine siliciclastic setting.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Light grey, highly calcareous, phosphorite-bearing and pyritiferous quartz-arenite. LITHIFICATION: Lithified on the basis of figured specimens and facies descriptions.
