• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From Member 3 of the Chapel Island Fm, which overlies the Renconte Fm, and is overlain by the Random Fm. AGE: Unclear from Landing et al. (1989), who refers to the overlying strata as post-Nemakit-Daldynian and pre-Tommotian; "Ladatheca" cylindrica zone; here placed in Nemakit-Daldynian, until clearer data are available. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From the "Ladatheca" cylindrica zone, near the base of the regional section, at 2.62 m, within upper part of Member 3.

Environment/lithology: deep subtidal shelf; lithified, nodular limestone and lithified, shelly/skeletal packstone

• ENVIRONMENT: Deep muddy shelf.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Bedded nodular limestone and fossil hash wacke-packstones. LITHIFICATION: Lithified, on the basis of facies description and preparation techniques.
