• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Aguada Mbr of the La Luna Fm, which regionally overlies the La Puya and Peñas Altas Fms (Albian-Aptian) and is overlain by the Colón Fm. AGE: Early Cenomanin. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: About 15-35 m above the top of the La Puya Fm.

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified siliciclastic sediments

• ENVIRONMENT: Not stated, but said to be facies which become euxinic, from a shale lateral equivalent.
