When: Inca Formation, Early/Lower Albian (112.0 - 109.0 Ma)

• LITHOSTRATIGRAPHY: From the Inca Fm, which is locally overlain by the Chulec Fm (Albian), and overlies the Goyllarisquisga Fm (Albian). AGE: Albian, on the basis of ammonite biostratigraphy; Parahoplites nicholsoni zone; placed here in Early Albian on the basis of stratigraphic position. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Collection from 9 m thick sandstone unit, near the lower part of the section.

Environment/lithology: coastal; lithified, ferruginous, quartzose, green, calcareous sandstone

• LITHOLOGY: Quartz sandstone, calcareous, ferruginous, olive green, fossiliferous. LITHIFICATION: Lithified, on the basis of facies description.
