• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Timbetes Mbr of the La Luna Fm, which regionally overlies the Chejendé Mbr, La Puya and Peñas Altas Fms (Albian-Aptian) and is overlain by the Colón Fm. AGE: Early Coniacian; on the basis of ammonite biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From 30 m above Barroisiceras zone; upper part of Timbetes Mbr.

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, concretionary, gray limestone

• ENVIRONMENT: Not stated, but said to be facies which become euxinic, from a shale lateral equivalent.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Limestone, dark gray, hard, dense, splintery and weather to be a light gray color. LITHIFICATION: Lithified, on the basis of figured specimens.
