• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Rio Salado Tongue of the Mancos Shale, which overlies the Dakota Sandstone, and is overlain by the Tres Hermanos Fm. AGE: Turonian, on the basis of ammonite biostratigraphy (in text); revised to Cenomanian by A. Hendy 5/2009 (Sciponoceras gracile zone). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From unit 4, near base of section.
