• The Maggol Formation is a subunit of the Taebaek Group and is Arenigian to earliest Llanvirnian in age (see Woo & Chough, 2005, Geosci. J. 11(4)).

Environment/lithology: peritidal; limestone and dolomite

• The Maggol Formation comprises peritidal cycles with deposits representing shallow subtidal to supratidal facies (Woo, 1999).
