When: Ostrea sellaeformis other zone, McBean Formation, Late/Upper Eocene (37.2 - 33.9 Ma)

• fauna is on balance "Jacksonian (upper Eocene)"

Environment/lithology: marine; unlithified siliciclastic sediments and lithified limestone

• unit consists of "soft marine sands, clays, and marls [presumably yielding the fossils] with discontinuous beds of hard limestone"
