• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the "Cucurrupi beds", which de Porta (2003) refers to the upper Munguidó Formation, for which lithostratigraphic relationships are not reported. AGE: Miocene in Oinomkado, but referred to Pliocene by de Porta (2003). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From unknown position within upper part of the formation.

Environment/lithology: marine; poorly lithified, gray mudstone

• ENVIRONMENT: Shallow carbonate setting.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Rather soft grey shale. LITHIFICATION: Poorly lithified, on the basis of facies description; may be unlithified, but figured specimens aren't available.
