• Neither Van Beneden and Gervais (1880), nor Winge (1909), nor Steeman (2010) give any indication of age of these deposits. That said, all indications from the geologic literature are that deposits in this area are Pleistocene. All other deposits bearing Plesiocetopsis hupschii are Miocene.
