• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Latrania Sand Mbr of Imperial Fm, which is overlain by the Canebrake Conglomerate. AGE: Pliocene, on the basis of molluscan biostratigraphy; placed by enterer in Early Pliocene based on existing collections and similarity with Late Miocene assemblages in California. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From unknown position within member.

Environment/lithology: coastal; lithified, medium-grained, coarse, yellow sandstone

• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Yellow, fossiliferous, medium- to coarse-grained sandstone. LITHIFICATION: Lithified, based on figured specimens.
