Sister taxa: Dentoceras latum, Dentoceras magnum, Dentoceras ultuganense
Type specimen: USNM 118998, a shell. Its type locality is USGS 15851, east of Boles, which is in a Bashkirian marine shale in the Johns Valley Formation of Arkansas.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
Distribution:
• Carboniferous of United States (2: Arkansas collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
