Type specimen: Cristidentinus depereti, a mandible (damaged left lower jaw). Its type locality is Lok. 7, Shang-Ho, Jen-Tsun, Mien-Chih-Hsien, Yuanqu basin, which is in a Sharamurunian terrestrial marl in the Hedi Formation of China.
