Sister taxon: Ibexicurus hillyardensis

Type specimen: SUI 99599, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is LDN 115.6, Lava Dam North, which is in a Skullrockian open shallow subtidal horizon in the House Formation of Utah.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution: found only at LDN 115.6, Lava Dam North
