Sister taxa: Protactoclymenia giganta, Protactoclymenia junggarensis
Type specimen: PUM 14018, a shell. Its type locality is XZ549A, Hebukehe-E section, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in the Hongguleleng Formation of China.
