Sister taxon: Pseudoparatalpa lavroi
Type specimen: PIN 2974/65, a mandible (dext. with p4-m1). Its type locality is Donguz-Tau, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Chilikty Formation of Kazakhstan.
Ecology: fossorial insectivore
Distribution: found only at Donguz-Tau
