Type specimen: GWWU A3.B4 (Geomuseum der Westfaelischen Wilhems-Universitaet, Münster, Germany), a skeleton (Almost complete skeleton with partial skull). Its type locality is Gerdemann clay pit, Gronau, which is in a Berriasian estuary/bay shale/claystone in the Bückeberg Formation of Germany.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Gerdemann clay pit, Gronau
