Type specimen: UCMP 38349, a partial skeleton (skull and skeleton lacking distal part sof limbs, ilia, ischia and tail). Its type locality is Loma de la Catalina I (UCMP loc. V-4540), which is in an Aptian marine siltstone in Colombia.
