Type specimen: CGM 40240, a mandible (right mandibular ramus with P4-M2 and part of the root of P3). Its type locality is Quarry E (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution: found only at Quarry E (Jebel Qatrani Formation)
