Type specimen: USNM 385016. Its type locality is Lacertasterias elegans type locality, Gilmore city, which is in a Kinderhookian marine mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Gilmore City Formation of Iowa.
Ecology: epifaunal carnivore
Distribution: found only at Lacertasterias elegans type locality, Gilmore city
