Sister taxa: Ptychonema bussacensis, Ptychonema desiderata, Ptychonema marocanum, Ptychonema nigrum

Type specimen: NMW98.66G.946, a shell. Its type locality is Locality 510, Kyrgyz Range, North Tien Shan, which is in a Longvillian/Onnian carbonate siltstone/limestone in the Almaly Formation of Kyrgyzstan.

Ecology: epifaunal detritivore

Distribution:

• Ordovician of Canada (1: Nunavut collection), Kyrgyzstan (2)
